Flowers Lace Frame Card featured ECD ModaScrap Release Jan 2018

Hello, y'all crafters! As the new ModaScrap Release from Elizabeth Craft Designs is out today, I have another project features copic coloring and die-cut in-laying to share with you along with some tips on how to easily color and in-lay such a detailed die cut with so many tiny pieces like this one.

I first cut down two pieces of Soft Finish Cardstock (8.5" X 11" 230gr /85Lb 10 pack) to 5.5" squares to match the size of this beautiful die I'm using today which is ModaScrap Flowers Lave Frame die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs. Put a piece of Elizabeth Craft Designs Clear Double Sided Adhesive (8.5" x 11" - 5 pack) that I cut down to the same size on the texture side of one of the cardstock pieces and die cut it with the flowers lace die from ModaScrap Flowers Lave Frame die set.

At this point, DO NOT take out any small pieces that left in the die cut piece. I fthere is any left in the die, put the die over the die cut piece and use your craft pick to push down every single piece into the die cut piece.

After this step, you will have a die cut piece with all the tiny pieces in each place. Now, it's time to do coloring. You can definitely use whatever coloring medias you would like to color the flowers. AND, no need to be precise  here. You CAN color out of the lines. Because we will die cut another piece to put over the colored piece. This way, we don't have to color each individual pieces separately and then put it back one by one.

After coloring the first die cut panel, I adhesive backed the other panel with Elizabeth Craft Designs Clear Double Sided Adhesive (8.5" x 11" - 5 pack) as well and die cut it with the same die, but this time I poke out each tiny pieces and only use the positive piece to put over the colored panel. (For all the white pieces showing on my card base, I chose to leave the texture side of the cardstock up to add some interests.)

I created my card base with Soft Finish Cardstock (8.5" X 11" 270gr /100Lb 10 pack) and stick my Flowers Lace Frame panel on it.

For the sentiment, I die cut two pieces using the small frame die from ModaScrap Flowers Lave Frame die set, stacked them together with Clear Double Sided Adhesive (6mm - 0.24" (25m/27yrd)). I black heat embossed the sentiment "We are getting married" and "save the date" from ModaScrap Wedding Stamps in the center of the small frame shape and used a black sharpie marker to chase the edge of the small frame piece.

I sticked it on my card, and then added some clear sparkling sequins for the finish touch.

Hope you like this card design and find my tips on coloring die cut in-lay helpful.

Have a great day!
