Shaped Pattern Stamping Holiday Cards
Hello, everyone. Today I am here to share three holiday cards that I create with a technique I called Shaped Pattern Stamping that was inspired by an embroidery I saw on Instagram. (You can find it HERE.)
I showed three ways to create three very different holidays cards design with this technique in my video so make sure you go check it out.
For the first card I created an ornament shape mask using the Concord & 9th Ornamental Die Set and use the negative piece to mask off an ornament shape directly on my card front and. Then using the Tim Holtz Holiday Knits Background Stamp Set to do some multi color stamping with two Distress Oxide Inks and Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink to create this nice shaped pattern. To finish the card I die cut the ornament topper using the same Concord & 9th Ornamental Die Set from some Bazzill Gold Foil Cardstock. And white heat embossed the sentiment "Happy Holidays" from Concord & 9th Ornamental Stamp Set onto a thin strip of Bazzill Wax Lips Cardstock. I used some foam tape to add some dimension. I like the traditional Christmas color combination and the gold ornament topper add some interest in this card.
For the second card, I die cut a mask from Essentials by Ellen Leaping Deer die. And repeatedly stamping on the border stamp from Simon Says Stamp Holidays Borders with some Versamark ink. I then cleared heat embossed it and press on some Delicata metallic pigment inks. For the sentiment I use the same sentiment to stamp it with Hero Arts Navy ink and clear heat emboss over it to give it a little shine.
For the last card, I used the positive piece of the masking left from the second card to create a revert design. I white heat emboss the whole panel and the did some ink blending over it. Finally, added the white heat embossed sentiment strip on with some foam tape.
